DESIGNATE LEMA AS YOUR CHARITABLE CHOICE As many of you are aware the United Way Campaign is fast approaching. Many people give to the United Way by participating in their United Way workplace giving campaign. Many agencies/businesses have a deadline of early November. Were you aware that you can give to LEMA through the United Way Campaign?? The Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association (LEMA) would like to encourage you to consider donating your United Way dollars to LEMA. At this time the United Way is not considering adding any new charitable organizations to their current list of charitable organizations, however, on their form there is a blank line where a person can simply write in the name of a 501(c)(3) organization they would like to have their contribution sent to. Please consider writing in “LEMA” on the blank line. You simply need to write in our organization’s name and address: (ExampleJ LEMA, 614 Aqua Circle, Lino Lakes, MN 55014. (You do not need to write a code number). By designating LEMA as your charitable choice, you will provide us with the opportunity to improve the lives of the surviving family members of peace officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.
