OFFICER WILLIAM W. McCLINTOCK
St. Paul PD
Died April 2, 1922

On Saturday night, April 1st, Officer William W. McClintock was driving his motorcycle eastbound on University Avenue at Lexington. A vehicle driven by J.E. Poole turned from the right side of the road to the left to pull into a gas station and hit McClintock's motorcycle head on. McClintock hit his head on the pavement and never regained consciousness. He died Sunday morning.

Apparently McClintock had a premonition of his death. He had planned his funeral six months prior to the accident. He left behind his wife, Winifred, and five children, Grace, 17, William Jr. 15, Elva 11, Winnifred 9, and Lorna 5. His funeral was held April 4th at D.W. Harley's Parlor and he was buried at Forest Cemetery.
